Uses

1,2-Dimethylhydrazine is a potent carcinogen that acts as a DNA alkylating agent. It is used to induce colon tumors in experimental animals. It was also used in preparation of spiroisoquinolinedione aldose reductase inhibitors.

1,2-DIMETHYLHYDRAZINE DIHYDROCHLORIDE is a reducing agent. Incompatible with oxidizing agents and bases.
