Sodium Gluconate is a compound with formula NaC6H11O7. It is the sodium salt of gluconic acid. It has the E number of E576 which is a code for chemicals which can be used as food additives for use within the European Union and Switzerland (the "E" stands for "Europe"). Sodium Gluconate is widely used in textile dyeing, printing and metal surface water treatment.
