在冰浴冷却条件下，将亚硫酰氯（5.80 mL，80 mmol）缓慢加入甲醇（100 mL）中。搅拌反应混合物1小时后，逐滴加入4-(2-溴乙基)苯甲酸（4.58 g，20 mmol）的甲醇（30 mL）溶液。反应在室温下继续搅拌2小时。反应完成后，减压蒸馏除去溶剂。向残余物中加入水，并用乙酸乙酯进行萃取。有机层依次用5%碳酸钠溶液和5%盐水洗涤，无水硫酸镁干燥后，减压浓缩，得到目标产物4-(2-溴乙基)苯甲酸甲酯（4.79 g，18.3 mmol，收率99%），为无色油状物。
