在手套箱内，将2,2,6,6-四甲基哌啶锂（LiTMP，70.7 mg，0.48 mmol，1.2当量）溶解于甲苯（1.5 mL）中，随后加入羰基化合物（3, 4.48 mmol，1.2当量）。在室温下搅拌15分钟后，加入Pd(I)碘二聚体（对于芳基碘化物：2.3 mg，0.004 mmol，1 mol%；对于芳基溴化物：17.4 mg，0.02 mmol，5 mol%）和芳基卤化物（4，X=I或Br，0.4 mmol，1.0当量）的甲苯（0.5 mL）溶液。反应混合物在室温下继续搅拌4-18小时（反应进程通过GCMS监测）。反应完成后，将粗产物直接吸附于二氧化硅上（用乙醚洗涤），并通过快速柱色谱法进行纯化。
