环辛四烯性质、用途与生产工艺

化学性质 

金黄色液体。熔点-4.7℃（凝固点-7℃），沸点142-143℃（140.5℃），相对密度0.9206（20/4℃），折光率1.5290，闪点22℃。

用途 

环辛四烯没有苯系化合物的特性，是典型的不饱和烃。能与溴、氢卤酸等起加成反应，也能催化加氢生成环辛烷，易被氧化，并易聚合，用于制造合成纤维、染料、药物等。

生产方法 

1911年德国化学家R·威尔施泰特用伪石榴碱作原料制得环辛四烯。第二次世界大战期间，德国化学家J·W·雷佩发现4个乙炔分子在氰化镍存在及加压下发生环化反应，生成环辛四烯，并用于大量制备。
