Precyclemone B is a colorless liquid with an aldehydic, ozone-like floral odor. It is used to create freshness in masculine perfume types, for example, for use in fine fragrances, shower gels, and soaps. The material is prepared by Diels–Alder reaction of myrcene and methacrolein.
