Chemical Properties
Meperfluthrin is light gray to light brown solid, melting point 72～75℃, vapor pressure 686.2Pa (200℃), specific gravity 12329g/ml, insoluble in water, easily soluble in toluene, chloroform, acetone, dichloromethane , dimethylformamide and other organic solvents. Stable under acidic and neutral conditions, but hydrolyzed faster under alkaline conditions.
Uses
Meperfluthrin is a chemical widely used in inhalation and contact insecticides. It has a fairly high knockdown and killing activity against mosquitoes, flies and other sanitary pests.
Mechanism of action
Meperfluthrin is a broad-spectrum insecticide with contact and inhalation activity, effects insects presynaptic voltage gate sodium channels in nerve membranesrapid causing knockdown.
