Chemical Properties

Pure product is white crystal. mp113～114℃, density 1.30 (20℃), vapor pressure 2.99×10^-9Pa (20℃), partition coefficient 3.21, solubility in water at 20℃ is 2.5mg/L.

Uses

Cafenstrole is a triazole herbicide. It has the following characteristics: ①Effective on barnyardgrass and highly selective to rice; ②Effective on weeds from pre-emergence to three-leaf stage; ③The duration of effect is as long as 40 days; ④It can control other perennials and annuals at the same time Weeds; ⑤It can be used alone or mixed with other herbicides.

Definition

Synthesis

After mixing 3-(2,4,6-trimethylphenylsulfonyl)-1,2,4-triazole and tetrahydrofuran solution of diethylcarbamoyl chloride, Cafenstrole can be obtained by adding a small amount of anhydrous potassium carbonate .
