Uses

BDPBr is a photosensitizer, classified as a brominated BODIPY derivative. It efficiently generates singlet oxygen in photodynamic therapy (PDT) and exhibits an IC50 of 5.2 μM against Hela cells under light irradiation. BDPBr shows promise for anticancer research[1].
