Triallyl trimellitate Chemical Properties,Uses,Production
Description
Triallyl trimellitate (TATM or benzene-1,2,4-tricarboxylate), a pale yellow liquid, can be used as a highly effective crosslinker due to its three allyl groups. 
Chemical Properties
Triallyl trimellitate is a pale yellow liquid, it is soluble in alcohol, ether; insoluble in water.
Application
Triallyl trimelliate (TATM) is a Type II coagent used in peroxide curing systems, particularly for elastomers like EPDM, to enhance crosslinking density, improve mechanical properties (tensile strength and modulus), and maintain high thermal stability[2].
Preparation
Triallyl trimellitate is prepared by the reaction of trimellitic anhydride and allyl alcohol under a sulfuric acid catalyst.
Hazard
Triallyl trimellitate is harmful if swallowed, it causes skin irritation and serious eye irritation,it May also cause respiratory irritation.
