Palladium-catalyzed carboalkoxylation gives appreciable stereospecific vinylic halides, including trans-1-Iodohexene. Also, trans-1-Iodohexene cross coupled with (E)??- or (Z)??-??vinylstannanes gives good yields of stereoisomerically pure unsymmetrical dienes with the same double bond geometry
