Calcium N5-methyltetrahydrofolate is the calcium salt of levomefolic acid, which has been proposed for treatment of cardiovascular disease and advanced cancers such as breast and colorectal cancers.

Calcium N5-methyltetrahydrofolate is a metabolite of folic acid. It was shown to inhibit photosensitization reactions and strand breaks in DNA, and reduce total serum homocysteine level in orthotopic liver transplant recipients.
Sources
Calcium methyltetrahydrofolate is a synthetic derivative of folic acid, the predominant, naturally occurring form of folate. It is synthesized by reduction of folic acid to tetrahydrofolic acid followed by methylation and diastereoselective crystallization (in water) of L-5-MTHF as its calcium salt.
