CP-154526 Hydrochloride is a selective, non-peptide antagonist of corticotropin releasing factor receptors (CRF1) (1,2,3). It blocks CRF-induced adenylate cyclase activation and attenuates activation of the HPA axis by CRF and displays anxiolytic-like activity in the rat elevated plus-maze test; brain penetrant.
