LY 487379 is a positive allosteric modulator selective for mGluR-2.
Uses
LY 487379 Hydrochloride is a group II mGlu receptors activator with anti-hyperthermic effects. Allosteric potentiators of metabotropic glutamate receptor 2 (mGlu2).
Biological Activity
Positive allosteric modulator selective for mGlu 2 receptors. Potentiates glutamate-stimulated [ 35 S]GTP γ S binding (EC 50 values are 1.7 and > 10 μ M for mGlu 2 and mGlu 3 receptors respectively). Devoid of any activity at mGlu 5 and mGlu 7 receptors.
