[60]PCBH, Phenyl-C61-butyric acid hexyl ester is a fullerene derivative of C60 that is used as an electron acceptor material in organic photovoltaic (OPV) solar cells. It is more soluble than?PCBM, which makes it more desirable when higher?concentrations of the acceptor unit are?required.?The higher solubility and longer carbon chain also makes [60]PCBH more compatible with polymers so that phase separations can be better controlled,?resulting in improved film morphology and higher performing OPV devices.[60]PCB-Cn (n = 4, 6, 8) have been also a popular candidate for perovskite solar cells applications.
