解説
アノーサイト,鉱物の一種。灰長石ともいう。斜長石は固溶体を形成するが，アノーサイトはこのうちのCa端成分をいう。化学組成はCaSi2Al2O8であるが，NaSi3AlO8成分を10mol％以下含む。結晶系は三斜晶系で，おもに｛010｝面の発達した板状結晶または柱状結晶をなし，へき開は｛001｝や｛010｝である。ガラス状光沢をなし，色は無色であるが，変質を受けると白色や灰色になる。モース硬度は6～6.5で，比重は2.75～2.77である。
物理的性質
Habit: granular, euhedral crystals, striated.
Color: white, gray, or reddish white.
Diaphaneity: transparent to translucent.
Luster: pearly, vitreous (i.e., glassy).
Cleavage: (001) perfect, (010) good.
Twinning: Albite [010], Pericline [010].
Fracture: uneven.
Streak: white.
Occurrence: magmatic and metamorphic rocks.
