亜鉛テルリド 化学特性,用途語,生産方法
解説
テルル化亜鉛．ZnとTeの混合物を融解するほか，アルカリ性水溶液中でZnOとTeとを反応させると得られる．赤褐色の粉末．昇華精製によりルビー赤色の立方晶系結晶となる．せん亜鉛鉱型構造．水和物も得られている．密度6.34 g cm－3．融点1239 ℃．微毒性がある．乾燥空気中ではかなり安定であるが，水や希塩酸に溶かすと徐々に分解してH2Teを発生する．Ⅱ-Ⅵ化合物半導体．バンドギャップ2.26 eV．半導体，光伝導体などの材料に用いられる．

使用
Zinc telluride can be easily doped, and for this reason it is one of the more common semiconducting materials used in optoelectronics. ZnTe is important for development of various semiconductor devices, including blue LEDs, laser diodes, solar cells, and components of microwave generators. It can be used for solar cells, for example, as a back-surface field layer and p-type semiconductor material for a CdTe/ZnTe structure[6] or in PIN diode structures. The material can also be used as a component of ternary semiconductor compounds.Zinc telluride together with lithium niobate is often used for generation of pulsed terahertz radiation in time-domain terahertz spectroscopy and terahertz imaging.
