PCTFE is a polymer of chlorotrifluoroethylene. It is prepared by free-radical polymerization in an aqueous emulsion using organic or water-soluble initiators or ionizing radiation. Examples of applications of PCTFE are plastic molded parts in chemical process equipment and electric parts.일반 설명

The properties of FLUOROLUBE GREASE, GR-362 are generally similar tothose for polytetrafluoroethylene; however, thepresence of the chlorine atoms in the formercauses the polymer to be a little less resistant toheat and to chemicals. The polymonochlorotrifluoroethylenecan be shaped by use of conventionalmolding and extrusion equipment, and itis obtained in a transparent, noncrystalline conditionby quenching. Dispersions of the polymerin organic media may be used for coating.The applications of FLUOROLUBE GREASE, GR-362 in general similar to those for polytetrafluoroethylene.Because of its stability andinertness, the polymer is useful in the manufactureof gaskets, linings, and valve seats thatmust withstand hot and corrosive conditions. Itis also used as a dielectric material, as a vaporand liquid barrier, and for microporous filters.
