Chemical/Physical. Cyclopentane will not hydrolyze because it has no hydrolyzable functional group. Complete combustion in air yields carbon dioxide and water.
At elevated temperatures, rupture of the ring occurs forming ethylene and presumably allene and hydrogen (Rice and Murphy, 1942).
