개요
An imidazolidinocarbazole alkaloid, this base occurs in the bark of Aspidosperma
chakense Spegazzini. It is dextrorotatory having [α]24D + 186° (CHC1 3). Two
phenolic and one non-phenolic hydroxyl groups are present in the molecule and
the base yields the dimethyl ether as colourless crystals with m.p. 167 ~9°C;
[α]D ~ 156°.
