Use
Copper(I) cyanide is a precipitate obtained by adding potassium cyanide solution to an aqueous solution of Cu2+ salt: COPPER(I) CYANIDE 2652CuCl2 + 4KCN 2CuCN + C2N2 + 4KCl The Cu2+ to CN molar ratio should be 1:2. The precipitate dissolves in an excess of cyanide, forming soluble ions Cu(CN)2 , Cu(CN)32, and Cu(CN)43.
