α- Bungarotoxin is a peptide derived from the postsynaptic neurotoxin genus of Bungarus multicinctus neurotoxins, with a sequence of 74 amino acids and four pairs of disulfide bonds. It competes with acetylcholine at the neuromuscular junction for nicotinamide acetylcholine receptors, blocking the neural signals transmitted by acetylcholine. As a marker for detecting acetylcholine receptor (AchR); Used for AchR purification; Study the interaction between drugs and receptors; Study the structure and properties of AchR; Non addictive analgesia and drug withdrawal.
