TRBP (TAR RNA-binding protein), also known as TARBP2. is a double-stranded RNA-binding protein encoded by the TARBP2 gene. It plays critical roles in RNA interference (RNAi) pathways, microRNA (miRNA) processing, and post-transcriptional gene regulation. TRBP interacts with Dicer, a key enzyme in the RNAi machinery, to facilitate the processing of precursor miRNAs into mature miRNAs, which are essential for gene silencing. Additionally, TRBP is involved in HIV-1 replication by binding to the viral TAR RNA element, modulating viral transcription and evasion of host immune responses.

TRBP antibodies are essential tools for studying its molecular functions, protein-protein interactions, and subcellular localization.
