GPS1573 is a non competitive antagonist peptide of melanocortin type 2 receptor (MC2R), consisting of 14 amino acids, which dose dependently antagonizes the MC2R activity stimulated by ACTH (IC50=66 nM). GPS1573 can be used for the study of Cushing's disease due to its highly selective antagonistic effect on MC2R.
