The protein has a calculated MW of 27.1 kDa. The protein migrates as 33-38 kDa when calibrated against Star Ribbon Pre-stained Protein Marker under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.

程序性死亡配体1（PD-L1）亦称为B7-H、B7H1、MGC142294、MGC142296、PD-L1、PDCD1L1及PDCD1LG1，属于日益扩大的B7免疫分子家族成员，参与细胞免疫与体液免疫的调控。PD-L1是一种细胞表面免疫球蛋白超家族蛋白，其胞外区包含两个免疫球蛋白样结构域，并具有短胞质结构域。该蛋白广泛表达于大多数外周组织及造血细胞中。PD-L1与属于CD28分子家族的受体相互作用，在调节T细胞活化和耐受过程中同时传递刺激性与抑制性信号。PD-L1可能通过诱导细胞凋亡和阻滞细胞周期进程来抑制持续的T细胞应答。
