This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the N-terminus.
The protein has a calculated MW of 18.6 kDa. The protein migrates as 28-34 kDa when calibrated against Star Ribbon Pre-stained Protein Marker under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.

白介素-22(IL-22)亦称细胞因子Zcyto18、IL-10相关T细胞源性诱导因子(IL-TIF),属于IL-10家族(包括IL-19、IL-20、IL-24和IL-26),是一类有效的细胞炎症反应介质。该细胞因子由活化的树突状细胞与T细胞产生,可启动针对细菌病原体的先天免疫反应,尤其在呼吸道上皮细胞和肠道上皮细胞等上皮细胞中发挥作用。IL-22通过结合由IL-22R1和IL-10R2受体链组成的细胞表面复合物启动生物活性,并进一步受可溶性结合蛋白IL-22BP的相互作用调控。与IL-10类似,IL-22还能促进肝脏中肝细胞以及肺与肠道中上皮细胞的存活。
