Magrolimab (also known as Hu5F9-G4) is a humanized IgG4 monoclonal antibody that targets CD47, a cell-surface protein that acts as a universal “don’t eat me” signal. By blocking the interaction between CD47 and its receptor SIRPα on macrophages, magrolimab removes the inhibitory signal that protects cancer cells from phagocytosis, thereby promoting macrophage-mediated engulfment and destruction of tumor cells.
