生物活性：根据其诱导 TF-1 细胞产生碱性磷酸酶的能力，ED50 小于 30 ng/mL。
体外：CNTF (大鼠; 1 ng/mL; 3-21 d) 影响新生大鼠分离交感神经细胞培养物中胆碱乙酰转移酶 (CHAT) 和酪氨酸羟化酶 (TH) 的水平[4]。
研究背景：睫状神经营养因子 (CNTF) 属于 IL-6 细胞因子家族。IL-6、IL-11 和 CNTF 与细胞因子反式信号传导相关。CNTF 与 IL-6 受体亚基 α (IL-6Rα) 表现出低亲和力相互作用，导致 IL-6Rβ/gp130/LIFR 信号受体复合物的形成和激活[1]。CNTF 也是神经视网膜和感光细胞间基质中的一种细胞外信号蛋白，与 RPE、Muller 和感光细胞的膜相关[2]。CNTF 对多种中枢和周围神经系统神经元具有神经保护作用。因为它在体外条件下促进少突胶质细胞前体细胞向少突胶质细胞的分化和成熟，从而改善髓鞘再生。重要的是，它还能提高成熟少突胶质细胞的存活率[3]。人CNTF蛋白序列与小鼠和大鼠的相似性分别为81.82%和84.0%。
