Miromavimab is a human IgG1‑kappa monoclonal antibody developed as an anti‑rabies therapeutic. It specifically targets the G‑II epitope within the external domain of the rabies virus (RABV) glycoprotein (G protein). By binding with high affinity to this conserved epitope, the antibody neutralizes the virus, preventing its attachment to and entry into host neuronal cells. As an IgG1 isotype, it is also designed to potentially engage immune effector functions such as antibody‑dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC). It is being developed for post‑exposure prophylaxis (PEP) of rabies, aiming to provide a safe and effective alternative or complement to traditional rabies immune globulin (RIG).
