Description：Gramicidin S是短芽孢杆菌Bacillus brevis var. Gause-Brazhnikova 产生的环状肽类抗生素多肽，序列中含有10个氨基酸，带有环状结构。盐酸盐为无色针状结晶。熔点281℃（分解），旋光度-292°；旋光度-295°(c=1.5，70%乙醇)。已完全合成。主要抗革兰氏阳性菌，对耐青霉素G的金葡菌亦有作用，抗革兰氏阴性菌活性微弱。毒性较大，LD50为17mg/kg(大鼠腹腔注射)，现已很少使用。
Gramicidin S is a cyclic peptide antibiotic produced by the short bacillus Bacillus brevis var. Gause-Brazhnikova. It consists of 10 amino acids in its sequence and features a cyclic structure. The hydrochloride salt forms colorless needle-like crystals with a melting point of 281°C (decomposition), and optical rotations of -292° and -295° (c=1.5, 70% ethanol). It has been fully synthesized. Primarily effective against Gram-positive bacteria, it also exhibits activity against penicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, while showing weak efficacy against Gram-negative bacteria. With significant toxicity (LD50: 17 mg/kg, intraperitoneal injection in rats), it is now rarely used.
