Honeycomb ceramic regenerator is a structured ceramic heat storage medium designed to store and release thermal energy during cyclic gas flow. Its regular honeycomb channels provide a large heat transfer surface area while maintaining relatively low gas-flow resistance.

In RTO systems, hot exhaust gas transfers heat to the ceramic regenerator before discharge. During the reverse cycle, incoming untreated gas passes through the heated ceramic media and is preheated before entering the oxidation chamber. This regenerative heat exchange process helps reduce fuel consumption and improve overall thermal efficiency.
