BATTERY Chemische Eigenschaften,Einsatz,Produktion Methoden
Definition
A number of similar units, such
as electric cells, working together. Many
dry ‘batteries’ used in radios, flashlights,
etc., are in fact single cells. If a number of
identical cells are connected in series, the
total e.m.f. of the battery is the sum of the
e.m.f.s of the individual cells. If the cells are
in parallel, the e.m.f. of the battery is the
same as that of one cell, but the current
drawn from each is less (the total current is
split among the cells).
