Use
Xenazoic acid, an antiviral agent, was introduced in the early
1960s. Its use was associated with hepatic toxicity which resulted in its withdrawal
from the market in at least two countries in 1965. WHO has no information to
suggest that xenazoic acid remains commercially available.
