Description | The root bark of Araliopsis soyauxii yields a number of known alkaloids including
maculine, flindersamine, skimmianine, (-)-ribalinine and (+ )-isoplatydesmine.
Recently, the new alkaloid, araliopsine has been isolated from this plant. Chemical
and spectroscopic analysis has established the structure of the base as
