Leflumilin acetate is a thymosin antibiotic that is active against a common pathogen that causes community-acquired bacterial pneumonia (CABP).
Lefamulin acetate (Xenleta, BC-3781 acetate) is a truncated pleurin antibiotic used in the treatment of community-acquired bacterial pneumonia (CABP). Lefamulin acetate inhibited protein synthesis by binding to the peptidyl transferase center of 50S bacterial ribosome, thereby preventing the binding of the transfer RNA to the peptide transfer.
