Steps:


4-(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolan-2-yl)pyridine was synthesized by stirring the mixture of pyridin-4-ylboronic acid (11.76 g, 96 mmol), pinacol (13.57 g, 115 mmol), 1,4-dioxane (300 ml) and MgSO4 (15 g) at 110 oC for 1 day. The precipitate was removed by filtration, and after the removal of solvent under reduced pressure, 6 was obtained.
