Description

8-bromo-Cyclic AMP (8-bromo-cAMP) is a cell permeable analog of cAMP that activates cyclic-AMP-dependent protein kinase with a Ka value of 0.05 μM. It activates cyclic-GMP- dependent protein kinase with 100-fold reduced potency (Ka = 5.8 μM). 8-bromo-cAMP is more stable to hydrolysis and has increased membrane permeability compared to unmodified cAMP.
