| Chemical Properties | Crystals or red liquid. A strong oxidizing agent. | | Uses | Bromine azide (BrN3) is a strong oxidizing agent that will explode when shocked or heated.
It is used to make detonators for dynamite and other explosives. | | Uses | Detonators and other explosive devices. | | Hazard | Explosive when heated or shocked. Will
ignite combustible materials on contact. | | Safety Profile | A poison. Can explode
spontaneously. The solid, liquid and vapor
are shock-sensitive explosives. Concentrated

sodium, silver foil, or phosphorus.
