Arctium lappa L is the dried and mature fruit of Arctium Lappa L. (-)-Arctigenin (ATG) is the main pharmacological active component of Arctium Lappa L. Studies have shown that Arctigenin has anti-inflammatory, anti-immunomodulatory, anti-viral and anti-tumor activities. Arctigenin is a lignan found in some plants of the asteraceae family and has antiviral and anticancer activities.
