Uses: Used for gingivitis (acute necrotizing ulcerative gingivitis), oral infection after dental surgery, prevention and treatment of oral infection in patients with cancer and leukemia, stomatitis associated with denture wear caused by bacterial or fungal oral infection, follicular stomatitis, reduce dental plaque. It is also used as a disinfectant for instruments and skin, and as a preservative for eye drops.

Pharmacological action: chlorhexidine, also known as chlorhexidine, chemical name dichlorobenzidine hexane, cationic surfactant, has a fairly strong broad spectrum antibacterial, bactericidal effect, is a better bactericidal disinfectant, antibacterial effect on gram-positive and negative bacteria than benzalammonium bromide stronger. It has a positive charge and is adsorbed on the plaque and oral mucosal surface with a negative charge when gargling in the mouth.
