Physical properties: High functional hydroxyl terminated polybutadiene is a liquid telechelic polymer and a new type of liquid rubber. It can react with chain extenders and crosslinking agents at room temperature or high temperature to form a cured product with a three-dimensional network structure. This cured material has excellent mechanical properties, particularly resistance to hydrolysis, acid and alkali, wear resistance, low temperature resistance, and excellent electrical insulation.

Product Usage

High functional hydroxyl terminated polybutadiene is mainly used as a binder in aerospace solid propellants. HTPB, together with oxidants, aluminum powder, and high-energy combustion materials, is poured into the engine propulsion system and solidified, used as a binder for propellants and various types of propellants. In addition, it is also used as a propellant binder for propulsion, steering, escape, and deceleration systems of spacecraft.

High functional hydroxyl terminated polybutadiene can be used as a special adhesive, plasticizer for various solid rubbers, and modifier for thermosetting resins. It can be used to prepare HTPB type polyurethane elastomers, electronic and electrical insulation materials, special coatings, sealing materials, and various industrial rubber products.

Storage method

Product transportation

During the transportation of polybutadiene rubber, it should be avoided from rain, moisture, and exposure to sunlight. Polybutadiene rubber should not be mixed with strong oxidants.
