General procedure: Sulfonyl chloride (5mmol) was added in one portion to a solution of piperazine (30mmol) in CH2Cl2 (50mL) at 0°C. The reaction mixture was stirred at 0°C for 30min, diluted with CH2Cl2 (100mL), quenched by the addition of saturated NaHCO3 (25mL), washed with brine (25mL), dried (Na2SO4), and concentrated in vacuo to provide product.
