Preparation of 1-benzylpyrazol-4-amine
To a solution of 1-benzyl-4-nitro-pyrazole (1.50 g, 7.38 mmol) in methanol (10 mL) was added palladium on activated carbon (0.500 g, 10% by weight) under nitrogen.
The suspension was purged with hydrogen several times.
The mixture was stirred under hydrogen balloon at 15° C. for 16 h, then purged with nitrogen and filtrated.
The filtrate was concentrated in vacuo to give 1-benzylpyrazol-4-amine (1.10 g, 6.35 mmol, 86%) as a pink solid. LCMS (ESI) m/z: 174.1 [M+H]+.
