2.4. The process for the hydrogenation of nitroarenes
General procedure: To an 10 mL glass reactor was added 1 mmol of nitro compound, 0.1mmol of FeO(OH)/C nanoparticles, 2 mL of ethanol and 2 mmol of 80%N2H4.H2O at N2 atmosphere. Next, the reactant was stirred at 75 C forabout 2-12 h. After the reaction was finished, the catalyst was filteredoff and washed with dichloromethane or ethyl acetate, the solvents wereremoved in vacuo, and the target product was purified by columnchromatography or directly dried over in vacuo
