7.2 Step 2: Preparation of 4'-(trifluoromethoxy)-1,1'-biphenyl-4-amine (7b)

4-nitro-4'-(trifluoromethoxy)-1,1'-biphenyl (7a) 2.2 g (7.7 mmol) in ethanol 40 ml,10 ml of distilled waterAnd add 4.33g (77mmol) of iron, 3 drops of concentrated hydrochloric acid were added and reacted at 110° C. for 4 hours.
