with chloro-trimethyl-silane;tetraethylammonium bromide;lithium bromide in acetonitrile at 40; for 1 h;Microwave irradiation;

Steps:

General procedures for microwave-assisted hydrobromination reaction
General procedure: In a typical reaction procedure, a 10-mL microwave vessel (supplied by CEM) containing a magnetic stirring flea was charged with 1 mL of solvent, lithium bromide (LiBr) and tetraethylammonium bromide (TEAB). To the resulting clear solution was added neat chlorotrimethylsilane (TMSCl) via syringe to give a slightly cloudy mixture, followed by neat propargyl alcohol (0.10 mL, 0.96 g, 1.72 mmol) which returned the mixture to a clear solution. The vessel was then sealed with a matching cap for the vessel (supplied by CEM)and subjected to a microwave irradiation in a microwave reactor (CEM model Discover) setto the following parameters: power, 300 W; pressure, 300 PSI; temperature, 40 °C; time, 60 min. Upon completion, the resulting heterogeneous mixture of clear brown solution and white precipitates was filtered. The clear filtrate was then treated with 0.50 mL of water and the resulting mixture was shaken with ample amount of Na2SO4, filtered, and concentrated to crude oil.
