Reaction Conditions:

with oxalic acid;L-proline in ethanol at 85; for 12 h;Schlenk technique;

Steps:

4.2. Typical experimental procedure for synthesis of 3-(benzo[d]oxazol-2-yl)-2H- chromen-2-one

General procedure: A mixture of salicylaldehyde (0.50 mmol), o-aminophenol (0.60mmol) and ethyl cyanoacetate (0.55 mmol) was placed in a 10-mLSchlenk tube, then 0.0350 g LTTM and 0.5 mL ethanol were added.The reaction mixture was stirred at the indicated temperature for 12 h.After completion of the reaction, Na2CO3 solution and DMF were addedto the mixture and vigorously stirred for a moment. Finally, the precipitatewas separated by filtration and washed with ethanol withoutfurther purification to afford the corresponding pure adducts.
