Yield:-

Reaction Conditions:

with hydrogenchloride;water;phenol at 110; for 17 h;

Steps:

General procedure: The amino-acid compositions were determined under standard conditions. The samples were vacuum dried and sealed in glass tubes using the PicoTag system (Waters Associates, Milford, MA, USA) and hydrolysed under the vapour phase of 6 N HCl with a crystal of phenol, over 17 h at 110 °C. The HCl hydrolysed samples (90 μl; containing a minimum of 200 pmol of each amino acid) were diluted in 100 μl MilliQ water and analysed and quantified using ninhydrin derivatisation on an aminoTac JLC-500/V amino-acid analyser (Japan Electron Optics Laboratory, Japan). Calibration was performed with the amino-acid standard H solution at the beginning of each series of analyses.
