IMB5046 is a microtubule inhibitor that induces apoptosis by blocking the G2/M phase of the cell cycle. IMB5046 has anti-tumor activity[1].
[Biological Activity]

IMB5046 is a microtubule inhibitor th at has antitumor activityovercoming multidrug-resistance. IMB5046 was cytotoxic with an IC50 range of 37 to 426 nM against multiple tumor cell linesincluding some th at were resistant to colchicinevincristine and paclitaxel. IMB5046 was also active against human lung tumor xenografts. IMB5046 was found to bind to tubulin at the colchicine sitebut with a different binding mode. IMB5046 inhibited tubulin polymerizationand induced G2/M arrest.
