(2S)-2-(2-Chlorophenyl)-2-(1-methoxy-1-methylethoxy)Ethyl Ester 1H-Imidazole-1-carboxylic Acid is an intermediate in the synthesis of (S)-Carisbamate (C183510). Carisbamate is being developed for adjuvant treatment of partial onset epilepsy. Carisbamate produces anticonvulsant effects in primary generalized, complex partial and absence-type seizure models, and exhibits neuroprotective and antiepileptogenic properties in rodent epilepsy models. |
